VIEW DECKS
Experiencing the outdoors during our High Season months at Fire Mountain is the ultimate luxury provided in the Highlands. July is the hottest month of each year in the Highlands and the air feels like velvet on your skin. Add to that no humidity and insects and you feel that you are basking in the ultimate experience on top of the world. As a result alfresco dining on top of Fire Mountain is one of the many ultimate experiences provided at our boutique mountaintop resort.
BONFIRE PIT
You can catch and enjoy a sunset from in front of a bonfire! Every Saturday evening we light a large bonfire on top of Fire Mountain starting an hour prior to sunset that will lift your heart after your evening meal, weather permitting of course. Bring a blanket and your favorite refreshment and enjoy the bonfire into the evening hours. Sculptor, Kevin Pind, created the fire pit in 1996 which is made from large stones found and retrieved from different parts of Fire Mountain.
LIBRARY
One of the most popular areas at Fire Mountain! Located in the main lodge building of the Fire Mountain Inn this is a wonderful indoor area for lounging, relaxing, reading, enjoying a fire in the large hand laid fireplace made of native stone, and taking in the views. This large area is filled with overstuffed slip covered couches, a significant book library and photography book collection to enjoy along with tables and chairs for those card and board games that some folks love to enjoy.

My husband and I stayed in the Cullasaja Cabin in early April 2018 for 4 nights and had a wonderful time!
I would highly recommend this location for anyone who wants a truly relaxing vacation – both Fire Mountain and the Highlands are beautiful! I always like to know the following about places so that is what I will share in this review – Cleanliness, Location and Dog Friendliness.
The cabin was very clean! The furniture is basic but very comfortable and most things are on the newer side (except for the appliances, cutlery and outdoor furniture) and for 4 days this worked perfectly for us. You can also tell that the owners take a lot of pride in all buildings that are part of the inn.

An amazing weekend of rest and relaxation!
The site was beautiful, the cabin fantastic, and the Inn is located close to Highlands for easy access to the parks and waterfall. Absolutely fell in love with the peace and relaxation there for the long weekend and look forward to coming back again!

Always a fabulous and relaxing get away.
This property is located close to all the activities that are available in the Highlands area, but it is nestled on a mountain top that allows for privacy, relaxing quiet and gorgeous sunsets!
We have been here so many times over the past 10 years that I can’t keep track, but every time it is beautiful peaceful setting with sparkling clean cabins, inn rooms and tree-houses.
They offer breakfast, lunch and a fabulous dinner option in their lovely restaurant called Fire & Water.
We have never been disappointed and will keep going back every chance we get.
